METHOD

Period authenticity is evidence-based.

High scores combine independent signals: explicit 2000–2010 dates, year-coded university paths, period toolchains such as Visual C++ 6.0 and Dev-C++, old project formats such as .dsp/.dsw, contemporary platforms such as Windows 2000/XP or Fedora Core, and concrete build instructions.

A scheduled collector rotates through 5,841 advanced-search queries. GitHub/GitLab recreations, Wayback-only pages, C++11+ material and clearly modern tooling are rejected or penalized before promotion.
